Steps:

  • Go to your search bar, and type in “Settings”
  • Click on “Devices”
  • Printers and Scanners
  • Click on the printer you want to adjust
  • Click on “Manage”

  • Printer Properties
  • Advanced
  • Printing Defaults

  • Select the options you prefer, and click “Apply”
  • Ok
  • Now, these are the default settings for your printer

To test out if your default settings are saved:

  • Go to Google Chrome
  • Click on the three dots at the top right corner
  • Click Print
  • Print Using System Dialogue,
  • Click on the printer you want to see,
  • Click Preferences

  • Now you should see your default settings

 

Things to remember:

  • If you click on the preset, “Factory Default,” it reverts to duplex and color.
